Module: HTML table¶
Executive summary¶
Charts are better for some people, others prefer a table – and for you, the STOCK system has a specially adapted table for a fast data access. Using the HTML table, you can quickly filter, sort, export, etc. Sometimes, just a fleeting glimpse at a table reveals there is something suspicious out there.
All tables in STOCK can always be exported to Excel or CSV text format. Each user can set up a table to their liking, the system, moreover, will remember the setting. Just click on the blue icon at the top right.
Functional description¶
Important operations with HTML table within the system.
- Setting a floating header – sometimes, tables are long and contain a large number of columns. With this setting, just click the icon (see below) – and the table’s header moves with you, giving you a better overview on the column’s meaning.
- Setting a filter by one (or more) columns – since sometimes, you just need to sort a table by several criteria. Again, just click the icon on the status bar.
- Export a table to Excel or CSV – click the options below, and you can export any table in the system into one of these common formats.
- Custom settings of columns and their order – each of us need to see certain information first. Click the blue icon at the top right, and you can turn on/off individual columns. By dragging them, you identify their primary (default) position. The system will remember this setting and on your next login as well.
- Filtering a table – if you need to quickly filter data, e.g. you only want to see values greater than 10, then simply click the icon right next to the name of the column in the selected column, as shown below.
- Sort by column – just click the column’s name: descending order is the default sortering, by a next click on the column, an ascending order is set.
