Module: Tree

Executive summary

The so-called Tree reflects the position of items and categories in the structure of the company.

Firstly, it shows the physical location of the item – for example, based on the division into locations and warehouses.

Secondly, it sorts items into logical categories, sometimes using selling labels or (product) categories.

The module Tree guides the user on every screen of STOCK.

It is located in the left side of the screen.

Functional description

Use

Clicking the name of a tree branch, the main STOCK screen switches to the selected path.

Click the triangle, the given tree branch gets expanded.

The selected path

The selected path is displayed in the top of the main STOCK screen, right below the main buttons.

Most STOCK reports is filtered according to the selected path. For example, when you select a path pointing to the whole company in the tree, the report for the whole company will be displayed. If, on the other hand, you select a warehouse, the report displays values for the given warehouse only.

Items

The lowest part of the tree are items; their color reflects their ABC category.

Switching between abbreviations / names

Clicking the magnifying glass icon, you switch between tree branches. Selecting “by name”, textual descriptions of warehouses / categories are displayed. When selecting “by number”, codes of warehouses / categories are displayed.

Automatic opening of a tree for the currently selected category

After clicking the tree icon, the tree automatically expands according to the currently active path.
