Executive summary

You can fulltext search STOCK: by individual items names, their specific code or by entering a part of the search string.

Search is available on each STOCK screen in the left bottom corner.

Functional description

Into the search box, you can enter any string, either:

• An exact name of an item
  • For example: 0202 - seasonal_3
• An exact code name of an item
  • For example: D-035-14-1-202
• A string that contains a part of the search string (always prefixed by %)
  • For example:%seasonal

The search results – in addition to standard information, such as code product identification, product name, and its position in the product (or warehouse) hierarchy – contains also partial information about the product’s managerial priority, i.e., its category according to the ABC analysis.

If you search only for a part of string, e.g., all occurrences of the word ‘seasonal’, it is then enough to add the ‘%’ before the string itself. STOCK then finds all items in the system that meet the specified criteria: hence, for the case at hand, they include (in the name or code) the string. See an example in the following figure.
